EMI has some awesome variations available, including the original multitracks (that mellotron all isolated.. mmmm).. so aspiring producers can attempt a remix (I will be trying one tonight).
Additionally, there is a simple $2 iPhone app, that lets you play around with the mix live on your phone. Awesome!
This is a clear nod towards how digital music can be a sustainable business. Many people are crying “the music industry is dead” and it’s just not true. Only the old way that music made money has died.. and innovations like this will set the stage for the next 30 years of the music industry.

Hi. I’m desperately trying to BUY the EP online from whatever source I can. Unfortunatelly, I live in Brazil and neither iTunes store, or Amazon, 7digital, any digital store you can imagine sell to a Brazilian CC related account.
Sonner or latter, someone will eventually share the ep online, and I’ll download it ilegally. iTunes store’s been up for 8 years now, and yet, we still can’t use it in my country. Then, they’ll call us pirates. I tried to contact EMI, but as soon as I reach EMI.com, there’s a message based on my IP saing they’re sorry but there’s no EMI.com available for my IP, and relink me to EMI Brazil. At EMI Brazil, there’s no E-mail address, and they have a catalog that makes me wanna cry.
Internet, musical tastes, news, musical releases are global, but music industry is not. Unfortunatelly I have to disagree with your post: They are still kiling themselves with acts like these
I never meant that Apple or EMI has “global” music handled.. until governments and commerce can handle things more seamlessly, both of them are pretty crippled to change that.
I was driving more that this type of activity and concept are a better way to monetize music.
I’m sure theres plenty of Brazilian music that I would have the same troubles with. :)
